This has to be the most fleeting Summer ever. School
bells are already ringing. As the kids settle into their routines,
it is a great time for you to consider taking a class at Welcome
Stitchery. There is something for everyone - cross
stitch, linen, needlepoint, and punchneedle. Have fun learning
a new technique.
Even though it is hard to think about
the upcoming holidays, it is definitely time to start planning
your holiday projects. To get in the mood, join us for our annual
Christmas Countdown Sale on September 17, 18, and 19.
There will be savings throughout the shop and plenty of new
designs for Christmas and Halloween.
We are excited to announce the addition
of painted needlepoint canvases to our shop. This is a new venture
for us and we hope you will enjoy this needleart. You will find
some of the more popular artists’ designs such as Kelly
Clark, Melissa Shirley, a. bradley, Artists Collection, Dream
House Ventures and others. The selections will grow as we make
room for them.
I will be attending a Fall Market at
the end of September and will be bringing many new products
back at that time - the newest in Cross Stitch, Needlepoint,

FEATHERS CLUB
The 7th year of our Loose Feathers Club is under way.
Blackbird Designs’ theme this year is “stitching
accessories”. Six designs are being released throughout
the year, with each containing a “bonus stitching
accessory”. Fabric is included for each design and
the bonus design. The final release will be a piece to
store/display these fine needlework accessories. The first
3 releases are available now.

customers are enjoying our Fiber Fanatic Clubs. It is such a
treat to receive a colorful little bundle of threads each month
We decided to combine this visual and tactile satisfaction and
start a “Fabric Fanatic” Club. What better way to
get those creative juices flowing than to have a such a great
choice of colors and textures in both fibers and fabrics.
The Club will consist of Hand-dyed fabrics.
